Description : A superb Ashanti bronze kudou cast in lost-wax, the hollowed circular vessel resting on an openwork base, with a flat circular lid supporting an abstract equestrian figure, the elongated horse supporting an oversized rider leaning to the back, and decorated on the box with a raised repeating zigzag motif in strips; fine and varied brown green patina. diameter 6 in. (15.2 cm.)
