Provenance : The iron staff was exhibited at Masterpieces of African Sculpture, Syracuse University, 1964, Number 135 in the catalog. It was also exhibited at Traditional Art of Nigeria, Rochester University, 1964, Number 16. It was then acquired from Aaron Furman in 1966. All three objects from a private collection, New York. Additional Information: The Yoruba iron staff was exhibited at Masterpieces of African Sculpture, Syracuse University 1964, Number 135, and Traditional Art Of Nigeria, Rochester University 1964, Number 16
