Größe : 16 long 41 cm (approx)Herkunft : Mr. & Mrs. Goddard Dubois. Acquired Egypt 1900-06. Anmerkung : Djed was the spine of Osiris representing stability, but the heart was the most important amulet where Egyptians believed all intelligence & memory lie, tantamount for the reckoning of all deeds of the deceased.
(Mrs. Dubois handwritten notes 1906 lists finds of 4 carnelian 'tats' djeds finely cut 18th Dynasty from ancient city site of Bubastis). Condition report : Excellent, except central large heart pendant has chip at top by loop with superficial crack otherwise no other chips, cracks, repairs evident. All intact.
