A bustling, urban and industrial West African city, its children are at the heart of Boua's work. Street children are vulnerable to abduction, slave labour and sex trafficking. The dark undertones are nonetheless evident with materials such as torn card, scraped paint and tar. However once all these textures are merged together, they show children smiling and often playing sport. Creating a tension between their innocence and the danger that they face.
