Anmerkung : The current lot is one of a series that features drawings of stones photographed from the Rhine River in Switzerland in September 2022. Strijdom van der Merwe is an award-winning South African artist based in Stellenbosch. He is a founding member of Site_Specific South Africa and was a member of the curatorial panel for World Design Capital Cape Town. He served as Co-curator of the exhibition 30 Nature Artists in the World and the Global Nomadic Art Project in South KoreaVoorrijdom's diverse academic background includes studying at the University of Stellenbosch, Hooge School voor de Kunste in the Netherlands, the Academy of Art and Architecture in the Czech Republic to and the Kent Institute or Art and Design, England. Strijdom's' commissioned work and residency invitations include countries such as South Korea, Belgium, Denmark, the United States of America, and Lithuania.
