Anmerkung : ‘This work continues from a previous project, the Stanford series, in its use of found objects as emblems of transience; exploring their history, cultural residue and meaning. The images form part of my personal experience. They are humble, trivial objects derived from material culture and nature: enamel jugs and plates, tarnished spoons, vegetable and zoological detritus.’1 ‘Rhopography (from rhopos, trivial objects, small wares, trifles) is the depiction of those things which lack importance, the unassuming material base of life that importance constantly overlooks, the ordinariness of daily routine and the anonymous, creatural life of the table.’2
