Anmerkung : Born into the Bashorun royal family of the Yoruba people, Twins Seven-Seven, né Taiwo Olaniyi Salau, was a twin: in Yoruba culture, twins are believed to have special powers. He joined the second Oshogbo workshop in 1964. Through his artwork, Twins creates a world with ties to Yoruba oral traditions, myths, religion and his own personal experiences. He was named UNESCO 'artist for peace' in 2005.
