Anmerkung : Miner’s Showering is from Sam Nhlengethwa’s 2002-2003 series, Glimpses of the 50s and 60s. The series consisted of 30 photo collages, all of the same size, printed by hand as colour photolithographs from pre-sensitised aluminum plates. The artist sourced imaged from the popular South African magazine, Drum. To make the images more personal and intimate, Nhlengethwa made use of images from his own family albums as well.
