Anmerkung : Sam Nhlengethwa, a leading South African contemporary artist, honoured the dangerous, heavy and often forgotten miners' work in a series of artworks. Born in a mining town himself, he visited mines all over South Africa for the purpose of the series, bringing the everyday life of mineworkers above the ground.
