Anmerkung : EXHIBITED:London, The New English Art Club Exhibition, 1918, no.1Born in Cape Town, Neville Lewis studied at the Slade School in London 1914-16 before serving in the British army in France and Italy 1916-18. After the war he took a studio in London, where he painted the present lot and forged his career as a portrait painter.
