Beschreibung : Absolutely exquisite Egyptian amethyst necklace (acq. 1906 Egypt, Dubois, exhibited museums: Met NY 1920, Boston 1945, MoM CA 1968) comprising of 1 central amethyst scarab stone (underside uninscribed) with defined winged case (3/4 x 1/2) flanked by 2 large decorated gold beads (3/8dia) and 42 exquisite amethyst ball beads with varied hues & graduated from large to small (1/2 - 1/4) interspersed with small sheet gold beads. Newer clasp on each end.
