Beschreibung : carved in sunk relief with the head of a priest facing left and holding a falcon-headed censer, his finely carved face with full outlined lips indented at the corner, slightly aquiline nose, and almond-shaped eye with long outlined and tapering cosmetic line and eyebrow in contoured relief, the earlobe pierced, the five columns of inscription including the partial name of the deceased ending in -Ptah "Overseer of the City", and that of his father the vizier Bakenptah.

Condition report : As shown. Diagonal chisel marks across raised surface are ancient scoring done for better adhesion of preparatory gesso layer, which was then painted. Note areas of losses and shallow chips, including on neck, below central column of inscription and in lower right corner. Possible remains of gesso on back of head and adjoining raised area. Minor chips and scratches overall. Saw marks on the back. Mounted on a metal stand.
