Beschreibung : A 14k gold pin set with a nice Egyptian scarab. The scarab, 2nd Intermediate Period, c. 1750 - 1570 BC, very well-preserved for the type with blue glaze remaining, the base inscribed with symmetric signs including ankhs, a Djed pillar of Osiris, papyrus stalks and an ua, and it is set in an attractive 14k gold brooch with a double pin. Well executed and a very nice wearable piece of jewelry. Scarab measures 1.9 x 1.4 cm. Ex Canadian private antiquities collection.
