Anmerkung : No. 2 from an edition of 6. A procession of enormous symbolic figures, all in silhouette, was commissioned for the Castello di Rivoli Museum in Torino, Italy, in 2017. The procession alluded to the work of repairing trains and bodies, as well as to the struggle in Italy between the Catholic Church and Italian Marxists for the soul of the worker. A set of small-scale maquettes, of which the present lot forms a part, was produced in a small edition of 6 shortly after the site-specific installation. Source: Goodman Gallery, Johannesburg.
