Otstanding piece, characterized by a refined and complex carving work. NOTE - For a similar specimen see: Smithsonian National Museum of African Art, Luguru artist, high back stool (object number: 89-10-1). Provenance: Parisian collection of the painter Arturo Carmassi (Lucca, 1925- Empoli, 2015).
