Descrizione : Carved from an incredibly heavy and dense single piece of wood , this is a charming image of two mothers with their children from the Tiv peoples of Nigeria, West Africa. Note the heads turned of axiz to give the sense of movment , and the smiling faces with deep incised facial scars. A Wonderful and likely unique example of Tiv Tribal Arts.
