Descrizione : Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A wonderful necklace of wearable form that is constructed from dozens of stone and faience beads in tubular and seed-shaped forms. Interspersed throughout the necklace are 4 steatite scarab pendants - each with insectile features and incised hieroglyphs - as well as a 2-sided scaraboid pendant with matching hieroglyphs on each face, and 7 fluted beads are each formed from 75.6% to 78.5% gold. The terminals are capped with a pair of articulated clasps to enable the wearability of the necklace.
