Some of the most famous include the Nok culture and the Mangbetu. This pair of figural vessels is executed in an abstract human shape with an earthy glaze and is decorated with an expressively carved relief ornament. One vessel has the spout on the figure’s belly, the other at the mouth, figural handles.
