Notes : A comparable work, Untitled, 1975, is illustrated in E. Berman, Art and Artists of South Africa (Cape Town, 1983), p.423:Although Sibiya continued to work in the graphic media, he seems to have been more responsive to direct dialogue with organic materials than to the referred procedure of printmaking. He has achieved significant results using natural bone as a substitute for his customary wooden support. Experiments in this direction were undertaken initially for a project instigated by Totem-Meneghelli Gallery, Johannesburg.
