Notes : The present lot dates to Sekoto's early years in Paris:"The reason for my stylising at the time came out of fear of the jungles all around! Varieties of styles in the new place made me stubborn not to lose my personality. I therefore thought to take something apart, hence the rounds and ovals - trying to think as far back as possible in my life."
