Provenance : Collection of the late Wing Commander A. B. Fanstone, inherited by his son, the present owner. Some items acquired from Edward Jawahery in Baghdad in the 1930s. Correspondence including a report by Sidney Smith (Keeper of Assyrian and Egyptian Antiquities at the British Museum) dated 4 November 1939, a bill of sale dating to the 1930s and a letter from Professor W.
