A solid bronze diviner's pendant depicting a frontal human visage with coffee-bean eyes, a pronounced nose, and a subtle smile, the head adorned with a beautifully detailed headdress, the neck rather long and intersecting with an ovoid frame encircling the visage. Most African cultures are perhaps best known for their wooden and terracotta pieces. However, this piece demonstrates the technical skill and artistry that Lobi and Gan blacksmiths imbued in their work.
