Among the Fang of Gabon, collars such as this one were worn only by men and were passed down from generation to generation as copper was considered to be currency of high economic value. Expertly crafted and engraved with the geometric motifs typical of the Fang, this collar has reached us in an excellent state of preservation and with a magnificent patina. Gross weight: 815 grams..
