Descrizione : Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A beautiful and lustrous blue faience pendant showing the falcon-headed deity Qebehsenuef in profile. The deity is mold formed and displays an upright posture, with an object clasped in his hands that extends to his ankles. Qebehsenuef guarded the intestines which were suspectable to poison.
