The lithograph in seven colors with the title ‘Africa – Cradle of Humankind’ by the German painter Nils Burwitz (b. 1940) is dated to 2000. Nils Burwitz grew up in South Africa and his experiences that he made there are represented in his works. The print was published by Achenbach und Costa Kunstverlag in the portfolio Kunstkoffer – Dialog der Kulturen. It is number 35 from a limited edition of 100 pieces.
The lithograph is signed and dated lower right in pencil ‘Nils Burwitz 9/III/2000’ and numbered lower left in pencil ‘35/100’. The dry stamp ‘Quensen Lithographie’ is lower right. The print comes with the original portfolio that is inscribed. The condition is very good. The dimensions of the lithograph are 58 x 76.5 cm. (tm)
