Interesting staff and insignia of rank characterized by the lower part elegantly worked with a twisted geometric motif and by the upper part embellished with an anthropomorphic male figure standing on a sphere and wearing a hat, of clear Nguni stylistic influence. Of good quality of carving, the real peculiarity of this sculpture lies in what at first glance appear to be four buttons placed in the abdominal part of the figure, but at which on closer analysis turn out to be two wooden through-inserts inserted inside the sculpture.
