Details: These vintage, hand-carved wooden sculptures were part of a collection of folk art and artifacts assembled by a teacher who traveled in east Africa in the 1950s and 1960s. These fantastic figures were made by the Makonde of Tanzania -- one is marked with a paper label . Both are carved of heavy, dense wood.

Condition / Notes: These figures are in generally good condition. Please note a crack in the elongated neck of the lighter-colored figure.
