Description : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A hand-carved alabaster jar with a rounded base, an egg-shaped body, and a corseted neck beneath a thin, flared rim. The honey-yellow color of the jar as well as integral banding are highlighted when placed next to a bright light. Size: 2.75 W x 3.875 H (7 cm x 9.8 cm), 4.7 H (11.9 cm) on included custom stand. Provenance: East Coast collection, New York Gallery, New York City, New York, USA, acquired before 2010 All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
