Notes : Music is extremely relevant to the art of Kofi Agorsor, which comes as no surprise since the artist is also a member of a jazz band. Repetition and vivid colours suggest a rhythmical element to his work. This piece depicts dancing figures of women against a background of rectangular patches in the shades of brown and yellow, which refer to the Kente cloth - a ceremonial hand-woven clothing made of strips in different colours.
