Notas : "Coetzer places conscious emphasis on the effects of various geometrical elements of composition in achieving a sense of action, distance, or repose. These elements are, however, always cloaked in meticulous pictorial detail; they are introduced to serve the narrative rather than to please the eye." Better known for his epic compositions of Afrikanerdom, Coetzer preferred to keep his still-lifes for his private satisfaction, and as such, very few are in the possession of private collectors outside his own family.BIBLIOGRAPHY:M.
