Notas : "In the paintings of Georgina Ormiston, the personal mark and the imaginative image are not easily distinguished. Many of her works bear evocative titles, and it has been easily said that she created worlds of visual fancy, dream worlds, legendary and enchanted scenes. Her procedure was to cover the canvas with thick white primer, which in turn was scraped and overlaid with successive layers of thin colour, almost glazes. A brush was hardly used in this process of rubbing, scratching, and sometimes gouging, except occasionally for fine calligraphic detail on the surface, which ends with a profile of gentle rippling."
