Notas : Mwenze Kibwanga was trained at the academy of Elizabethville, Congo (now Lubumbashi) and later became a professor there. Recurring themes in his work are hunting scenes, dancing people and village life, often painted in thick brush strokes in contrasting colours, without using the effects of perspective.
