Descripción : Carved wooden figural statue from the Pende people in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Female figure, painted white and red with iron metal attachments as earrings and bells around wrists. Brass metal nailheads in belly button, shoulders, and in forehead between the eyes. Rope and textile is tied around the waist and the neck. Pierced hole in mouth. Figure does not have hands. The statue measures approx 30.5 inches in height by 9 inches in width by 8 inches in depth.
