This ex-library book shows significant external wear, with the spine cover separated from the rear board, scratch marks to boards and minor loss at edges and corners. Spine cover shows loss at ends. The text block remains solidly bound with age-toned pages that display marginal smudging and occasional taping at edges. This volume is illustrated throughout, with a color-plate frontispiece of Joseph Potocki, and black and white and color engravings of African tribal people, animals and other safari-related scenery.
