Condition / Notes: This is set is bound in quarter dark blue leather and blue leatherette-covered boards, with raised bands and bright stamped gilt lettering to the spines. The books show light shelfwear, with light soiling to the covers and a lightly bumped lower outside corner to the front board of the first volume. The bindings are firm. The interiors are clean and bright. This work is illustrated with a frontispiece portrait of the author in each volume, photographic plates and fold-out plates. The original wrappers are bound in.
