Cailliaud, and originally appeared in Voyage à Méroé, au Fleuve Blanc, au-delà de Fâzoql, dand le midi du Royaume de Sennâr, à Syouah et dans cinq autres oasis , fait dans les années 1819, 1820, 1821 et 1822. This 1823 print offers a view of the pyramids of the Kushite rulers at Meroë, with a number of human figures and camels can be seen in fore- and background.
