Descripción : Matching parts of an ancient Egyptian jewellery ensemble in modern threading. In the upper part small disc-shaped faience beads of different colours, interrupted by single stone beads of the same size, probably made of garnet. In the centre, three rock crystal beads on both sides, framed on all sides by round garnet beads and separated by gold beads of filigree and granulation. In the lower part, five extremely high-quality and filigree faiences: in the centre, Isis striding frontally and two Udja eyes on the body of a lion on each side. The faiences are separated by two garnet beads with a rock crystal bead in between, these again separated by gold beads of filigree and granulation. Exquisitely graceful ancient Egyptian jewellery set of fine quality. Length of the Isis faience 3.9 cm. Length of the chain strand ca. 70 cm. Comes with a dust-free butterfly box for presentation (dimensions 30 x 40 cm). Provenance: From the estate of a Munich archaeologist, gift from her husband, acquired in 1973 in a Munich antiquities shop. Condition: I -
