Descripción : Europe, Italy, Venice, found in western Africa, ca. 18th to early 19th century CE. A lovely pair of Venetian glass and stone trade bead strands, each strung on modern stringing that can be made into more attractive compositions. The first strand features 59 beads of primarily yellow hues with polychrome eyes as well as 1 lime green bead with blue, white, and red eyes. The longer strand exhibits 16 petite yellow glass beads, 2 large yellow glass beads, 1 spherical brass bead, and 185 russet-hued stone seed beads. Beads like these were used for trading purposes throughout Africa and the New World.
