The schematically carved figure of peg form, with hieratic inscription and facial details in black ink, the four lines of inscription read "An offering which the King gives and Osiris, Lord of Busiris, the great god, lord of Abydos, for the agricultural labourer, rest in peace", from Thebes 61/2 in. (16.5 cm.) high NOTES Cf. S. D'Auria et al., Mummies and Magic, The Funerary Arts of Ancient Egypt, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, 1988, p. 130, no. 62, for similar shabti with its original wooden coffin in which it was placed wrapped in linen.
