This volume contains volumes thirteen through seventeen of Zeitschrift fur agyptische Sprache und Alterthumskunde, corresponding to the period 1875-1879. This German-language periodical was published in Leipzig by J. C. Hinrisch'sche Buchhandlung and edited by noted Egyptologist C. R. Lepsius, with the collaboration of H. Brugsch. This scholarly publication was, as indicated in the title, devoted to the language and cultures of ancient Egypt, with numerous plates providing illustration of hieroglyphic writing, as well as other cultural manifestations of that civilization.
