Notes : The Carradale was a four-masted steel barque built in 1889 by Stephen & Sons in Glasgow for the Dale Line.  Originally intended for the Australian trade, in the early twentieth century she was forced to seek cargoes wherever available.   She survived World War I and was sold to Germany in 1924 for £3100.   The Carradale was finally sent to the breakers in 1925.
