Literature : Mohammed Khadda commence à dessiner à l’âge de 14 ans pour l’imprimerie dans laquelle il travaille. Autour de 1947, il s’inscrit à une école de dessin par correspondance, réalise ses premières aquarelles, puis des pastels et des peintures. En 1953, accompagné de Benanteur, Khadda arrive à Paris. C’est en 1955, qu’il réalise ses premières peintures non figuratives. Sa première exposition personnelle date de 1961, puis rentre en Algérie en 1963. Membre fondateur en 1964 de l’Union Nationale des Arts Plastiques dont il est le secrétaire de 1972 à 1975, il y défend la peinture non figurative. Mohammed Khadda began drawing at the age of 14 for the printing house where he worked. Around 1947, he enrolled in a drawing school and produced his first watercolours, followed by pastels and paintings. In 1953, accompanied by Benanteur, Khadda arrived in Paris. He produced his first non-figurative paintings in 1955. He had his first solo exhibition in 1961 and returned to Algeria in 1963. He was a founding member of the National Union for Fine Arts in 1964 and served as its secretary from 1972 to 1975, where he defended non-figurative painting.
