This plate was excised from the book Views in Egypt (first published in 1801). In this image, men stand on the stones at the top of the Great Pyramid, overlooking the Nile. This plate is from the holdings of Archaeologia Books and Prints. Established in 1983, Archaeologia was known for providing scholarly books of quality on the archaeology of Ancient Egypt, the Near East, Greece & Rome, and the Pre-Columbian Americas.
