Description : Haggadah shel Pesach Kecskemet 1937 The Passover Haggadah with Hungarian translation and commentaries, including the translation of the laws and customs of the Seder, and a collection of ancient rabbinical essays regarding the Exodus from Egypt, by Rabbi Mordechai Abraham. Kecskemet 1937. 70 pages. Large and impressive format. 31cm. Excellent condition. Original binding. A gold illustration of the Exodus from Egypt on the cover. Many and original drawing by the artist Karl Ervin and the graphic artist Katona Bela. This is the only Haggadah printed in Kecskemet, Hungary. From the author's words on the title page of his book it appears that the author printed this Haggadah with his commentary especially for women. The author printed at the top of the page the verse:and the rabbinical interpretation that Bet Yaakov refers to the women. A special Haggadah for women. To the best of our knowledge, this is apparently the only Haggadah ever printed just for women. Well known are the many Haggadot printed especially for children, but regarding women, no other Haggadah is known, other than this one. Very rare. Not listed in Yaari.
