They consist of 13 or 14 more or less complete letters and the fragments of a number of others from the Archives of Arsham, satrap of Egypt in the time of Darius II, and may be dated c. 410, B.C. Condition / Notes: This vintage volume is bound in blue cloth covers, with stamped gilt lettering on the spine and light rubbing at the edges, corners, and gutters. The binding is solid. The pages show light age toning and some light foxing to the preliminaries. The work is illustrated with 23 plates depicting ancient Aramaic texts.
