The first UK edition was published in 1870 by Chapman & Hall and is now virtually impossible to find. This Sampson Low edition is also scarce (unlisted in Myers), and considerably more difficult to find than either Appleton's first edition in English (New York, 1869), or James Osgood's fully illustrated edition (Boston, 1873).
