Description : Kuba cloth is a traditional raffia textile woven from palm fronts by the Shoowa people of the Democratic Republic of Congo, cut velvet piles was the inspiration for various design patterns. Typically this type of textiles was used as clothing, traded as currency and ownership often bestowed prestige. Many use it now for covering chairs, stools, wall hangings, clothing and other usage's. The squares, repeating design is worked in just 4 colors of tapestry wool in Tent Stitches, and would make a perfect pillow or bag front. It was also look beautiful framed as art.
